Unzip editix2014.zip from the finder or from the terminal using the "unzip" command.
You may have a message that the application is Damaged. This is due to a security from Mac OS X that avoid to execute an application from the internet.
Use the following command from the terminal (you must go to the directory of your installation):
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine editix2014.app
Can't run EditiX XML Editor ?
- Check that you have at least a Java VM 6 from the terminal with the command "java -version"
- Use xattr -l editix2014.app from the terminal for checking you don't have a quarantine from the OS
- Check if your Java Version is well installed, you must have a file at /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Resources/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub
- You may also download the Unix/Linux version, just uncompress it and run it from the terminal using the editix or editix.sh command (from the bin directory).
Other platforms
Each installation will create an editix installation directory and a desktop link as possible to the running application. The bin directory from the installation directory contains the main editix application. If you meet difficulties to run editiX, the installation directory contains also a simple bash and batch script to run it : run.sh (you must be in the bin directory) for Linux/Unix platforms or run.bat for Windows.
